π§ When to tell Claude “fable mode” — tap to open
What it is: it makes Claude slow down and work carefully — scope the job, open the real files, argue with its own answer, and verify before saying “done.” You do NOT need Fable credits and you don’t turn anything on. It just changes how the Claude you’re already talking to works.
How: in your normal chat, type “fable mode” or “think like Fable” at the start of the task. That’s it.
Say it when the job is big or messy:
- building or fixing an app or website
- something that keeps breaking or failing
- a plan with lots of moving parts or unknowns
- anything where a wrong first guess costs you time or money
Skip it for quick stuff — a small edit, one question, one post. (Claude also switches into it on its own when a task is clearly big.)
Bonus: loved something Claude made but can’t say why? Say “break down why that worked and turn it into a skill.”
Buttons come from data/do-actions.json β tell Claude to add one and it appears here.
