Session Handoff — Why Dachshunds: finish video library + music + logo + thumbnail skill test

Where it started

Session continued the Why Dachshunds YouTube build. Sondra wanted to finish making Batch 6, then discovered ffmpeg could batch-add music and logos to the whole library, then tested her newly-uploaded thumbnail skill end-to-end. Constraints: create-only video gen (she confirms each render unless she says otherwise), navy/gold/cream brand, deliverables as HTML.

Decisions locked + what shipped

• All 1-250 videos now created. 226-249 + 236 made/filed earlier; last 3 (#99, #180, #250) created this session, create-only — sessions 06262010-ty9 (99), 06262010-0fm (180), 06262010-yav (250). Tracker at PROJECTS/YT - Why Dachshunds Channel/Why_Dachshunds_MASTER_Tracker_v19.xlsx.
• Music added to all 257 videos (Batch 1-6) at the LOCKED recipe: 10% under voice + 5s fade, in place, originals in each folder's _originals-no-music/. Tool: c:\Users\srver\AIOS-Workspace\aios-starter-kit\scripts\dachshund\add_music.py. Current track is the test bed coffee time.wav.
• Logo overlay (bottom-left, 200px, your "Why Dachshunds.png") being applied to all 257, in place, pre-logo backups in _pre-logo/. Tool: scripts\dachshund\add_logo.py. STILL RUNNING (see Running state).
• Thumbnail skill tested (youtube-thumbnail-architect, uploaded today). 3 with-text + 3 text-free thumbnails for video #1 generated via Gemini gemini-3-pro-image-preview. Files in c:\Users\srver\AIOS-Workspace\aios-starter-kit\outputs\thumbnails\why-dachshunds-01\.
• Gallery published to here.now: https://sturdy-lodge-shk2.here.now/ (permanent). Shows each thumbnail with the video title (YouTube-style) + rationale.
• Decided thumbnail workflow: generate TEXT-FREE in Gemini, add text as a separate editable layer (locked font/color) so text edits never require regeneration. Text-free bases are the *-NOTEXT.png files.

Deferred + open questions

• Open: Confirm #99/#180/#250 in the Opus UI, then download + file them (date-only pull, then build_file_plan_by_id.py) to complete the library.
• Open: Pick the final music track — all 257 use test track coffee time.wav; re-run add_music.py (sources from _originals-no-music/, never stacks).
• Open: Pick the channel thumbnail font — text-free bases ready; next step is a Pillow text-overlay script with a locked font/style.
• Open: Pick the winning thumbnail concept (2 = In His Head recommended).
• Deferred: Batch 1 Claymation subfolder got neither music nor logo (only Animated videos).
• Deferred: the "scene" thumbnail idea Sondra raised then said disregard.

Pick up here

Confirm the last 3 renders in Opus, download+file them to finish the 1-250 library; then build the Pillow text-overlay script so thumbnails get a consistent, editable font.
