Session Handoff — Why Dachshunds: built a batch tracker, verified + filed topics 1-30, fired topic 31

Where it started

Session opened on a pasted handoff about the Why Dachshunds modern-topics series (an Agent Opus over-fire incident + batch 31-44 written). Sondra was frustrated that she couldn't tell what was made/downloaded/filed and that the tracking kept changing. The work became: build a durable status board, verify every video (both formats, with dates) from ground truth, download whatever wasn't downloaded, file everything into Batch folders, then fire the next topic.

Decisions locked + what shipped

• New persistent tracker c:\Users\srver\AIOS-Workspace\aios-starter-kit\PROJECTS\YT - Why Dachshunds Channel\BATCH-STATUS.md — the single source of truth, columns: LF/SF script, LF prompt, AO video made, downloaded & filed, music, logo. Updated every session. Modern topics 1-44 map to Batch 8-12 (10 topics per batch: 1-10=B8, 11-20=B9, 21-30=B10, 31-40=B11, 41-44=B12).
• Correction: Sondra did NOT delete topics 21-30 — she deleted only the 4 duplicate re-fires (21,22,24,25). Originals were intact.
• Download method rule learned: --search "Dachshund" is UNRELIABLE (only ~200 ranked results, silently misses recent videos — made shorts 21-30 look non-existent). Use --all --days N. Baked into memory project_agent_opus_download_method.md.
• Downloaded the gap: topics 21-30 (LF+SF, 20 files) to D:\Videos\000-YT Why Dachshunds\_DOWNLOAD-2026-07-09\ (12 via search, then 8 missing shorts via --all).
• Verified + FILED topics 1-30, both formats (60 videos) via new script scripts/dachshund/verify_and_file.py — LF/SF classified by ffprobe dimensions (1920x1080=LF, 1080x1920=SF), topic matched by keyword/session-id. Landed: Batch 8 (1-10), Batch 9 (11-20), Batch 10 (21-30), each 10 Long-form 16x9 + 10 Shorts 9x16. 2 workshop videos → _NON-DACHSHUND-set-aside\.
• Fired topic 31 create-only (both formats, NOT confirmed): LF session 07092105-k24, SF session 07092108-m5l. Awaiting Sondra's UI confirm. This was her explicit per-turn instruction (one LF, then "fire the matching short").

• Open: topic 31 needs UI confirm by Sondra (both fired create-only). She said she'd do the short only "if I have enough credits" — both are now fired, her call to confirm/render.
• Open: 7 older Batch-7 fresh videos still in D:\Videos\000-YT Why Dachshunds\Batch 7 - Fresh 2026-07-06\_staging\ (6 Things Offend, 5 Weird Behaviors x2, Full Body Wiggle x2, Parade Sticks, Chase Sunbeams) — NOT part of the 1-44 series; need filing into Batch 7's EVERGREEN/SEASONAL structure separately.
• Deferred: music + logo overlay on the 60 filed videos (Batch 8/9/10) — not started.
• Deferred: topics 32-44 (both formats) — scripts + prompts ready, not fired. Fire create-only, never auto-confirm.
• Deferred: xlsx tracker (v24) is stale — only goes to #278; topics 11-44 not in it. BATCH-STATUS.md is the reliable source; rebuild/sync the xlsx when convenient.
• Open (from earlier, unchanged): Sondra wants a separate titling pass + a year-long scheduling calendar for topics 31-44.
