Session Handoff — Testimonial Vault: Phases 2+3 built + verified, safety check passed, launch-ready pending deploy target

Where it started

Continued from the Phase 1 handoff: finished the interrupted Phase 1 verify, then Sondra approved a batch in one directive: fix auth email for strangers, run /app-safety-check, add privacy + cookies, use her inbox logo (Amplif-AI pink/white) for favicon, switch to Sonnet 5 (cheaper), and build Phase 3. All done, verified, committed.

Decisions locked + what shipped

• Phase 1 closed — captions flow + UI image upload verified in browser; commit f37afec.
• Phase 2 shipped + verified end-to-end — profiles + testimonials tables w/ RLS, 15-save free cap via DB trigger, email-OTP auth (AuthModal), Vault page, Stripe test mode (4242 checkout → webhook → premium flip → cancel → free), GHL tagging (testimonial vault + tv free/tv premium), webhook sig-reject/replay-dedupe proven. Commit df7cbd0.
• Sonnet 5 on all AI functions (analyze, post-ready, request-testimonial) with thinking: {type: 'disabled'} — Sonnet 5 defaults adaptive thinking ON when omitted (measured 33-36s); disabled → median 15.7s (11.8-18.9s), quality held. Hero copy stays "in seconds" (15.7 median isn't honestly "under 15").
• Auth email works for strangers — Supabase auth SMTP → Resend (vault@sondraverva.com, verified domain sondraverva.com), 30 emails/hr, and BOTH templates (magic link + signup confirmation) now show the 6-digit {{ .Token }} code. Verified: OTP send appears in Resend's log.
• Logo — _INBOX-DROP-FILES-HERE/Amplif-AI LOGO Sq.png → app/public/favicon.png, apple-touch-icon.png, transparent logo-mark.png in all navs.
• Legal — /privacy page (real data practices) + cookie banner (her Digital Home pattern) + footer link. Commit 7e96354.
• Phase 3 shipped + verified end-to-end — public /win/:token form (submit-win edge fn resolves token→user server-side), Vault submissions inbox → Process with AI → Results → save marks submission processed, Request-a-Testimonial (premium, 3 asks w/ form link), CSV export (free — data-rights choice per PRD §7.7C, deviates from §6 premium list). Full browser E2E: anonymous submit → inbox → 19s analysis (name carried) → captions → saved. Commit 29f311b.
• /app-safety-check ran (app-reviewer verdict: FIX FIRST) — all findings fixed + verified live, commit 1373556: per-IP/user rate limits on analyze (8/hr anon, 60/hr user), post-ready (3/hr anon demo), submit-win (5/hr) via hit_rate_limit() SQL fn (service-role only, fail-open) — verified 429s at exact cutoffs; archive→restore free-cap hole closed with BEFORE UPDATE trigger — verified FREE_CAP_REACHED on restore #16; top-level ErrorBoundary; real "Delete forever" on archived rows (matches privacy policy); /design route dev-only; CORS origins now read from ALLOWED_ORIGINS secret (launch = config change).
• All test artifacts cleaned: test users deleted (cascade), GHL test contact deleted, rate_limits table emptied, scratchpad keys removed.

Verification — how to confirm things still work

• Rate limiter: 5 anonymous POSTs to post-ready with empty body — expect 400×3 then 429×2. NOTE: this burns the shared IP's demo quota; reset with delete from public.rate_limits; (supabase MCP execute_sql).

Deferred + open questions

• Open: deploy target — nothing chosen (Cloudflare likely, matches her stack). At deploy: set ALLOWED_ORIGINS + update SITE_URL function secrets, switch Stripe to live keys + re-register live webhook, real domain + name decision.
• Open: $47 founder-lifetime (PRD §13 #4) — not built; only $9/mo + $79/yr exist. Sondra to say if she wants it before launch.
• Open: Sondra hasn't personally clicked through the app yet — suggested she test at localhost:4902 with her real email.
• Deferred: account-deletion helper script (GDPR erasure is manual today); cookie banner is accept-only (fine while essential-only cookies); localStorage session tokens (standard SPA pattern, flagged per her security rule).
• Deferred: Phase 4 (Proof Gallery + slug page) and Phase 5 (widgets + Vault It bookmarklet) per PRD §14.
• Note: anonymous post-ready demo remains open by design but rate-limited 3/hr/IP.
