Handoff — PawKeeper v1 built + verified (2026-07-04)

What this is

PawKeeper — a Pet Health Tracker built in Base44 as a DFY clone for Stars members to rebrand and sell. Built end-to-end this session from the v2 research-informed PRD.

What's built (all 10 requested features + landing page)

• 9 entities, all owner-only RLS (created_by == {{user.email}}): Pet, Vaccination,

Appointment, Medication, MedDose, WeightEntry, SymptomLog, PetDocument, ShareLink

• Pages: Landing (public, sells the app) · Login/register/verify/reset · Dashboard

• Research-driven wins baked in: name+species-only signup, **vaccine-card photo captured in

the add-flow, med frequency presets + "mark given"** dose logging, reminders name the pet, weight/symptom kept unobtrusive, hero leads on "you own your records across every vet"

• 2 backend functions: share-resolve (the only public read path — token → one pet, active

links only, no ID enumeration) and reminder-digest (daily 8am cron, milestone-only email, now guarded so only cron can trigger it)

• Per-account demo data (Bella + Milo, one overdue vaccine so alerts pop) + "Remove sample data"

Verified this session (real, in-browser)

• Signup → email OTP (pulled via gws) → into app ✅
• Dashboard alerts correct (overdue/due-soon/dose-today/refill) ✅
• Timeline merges all 6 record types, sorted ✅
• Med "Mark given" → flips to "given today" ✅
• Emergency card renders (chip, allergies, meds, vet) ✅
• Share link → opens logged-out with full read-only record ✅
• Isolation: account B cannot see account A's pet (RLS returns 404, clean "Pet not

found", no data leak) ✅

• Data-layer CRUD proven via base44 exec (create/relate/readback/cleanup) ✅

/app-safety-check result: SHIP-SAFE

Deep review (app-reviewer agent) found the share security airtight, RLS owner-only on every entity, tokens 128-bit unguessable, no exposed secrets. Fixed the 3 findings this session:

• Dashboard + Pets infinite-spinner on fetch failure → now show a Retry error state
• reminder-digest → added guard so a logged-in user can't trigger the all-users email blast
• (Also fixed earlier: PetDetail/EmergencyCard stuck-spinner → clean "Pet not found";

added top-level ErrorBoundary; per-account demo-seed key)

NEXT (Sondra's calls — nothing auto-done)

1. Name it — "PawKeeper" is a working title (alternates: PetVault, PawRecords, TailTrack).

One-file swap in src/branding.js.

2. How members claim clones — Base44 duplicate per request, or a shared template link.
3. Positioning — free Stars perk vs part of a paid "DFY app library" tier.
4. The Stars setup page — Sondra said at launch she wants ideas/copy for the Skool page

that hands members the clone + walks first-time setup. Draft at launch, in her voice.

5. Test accounts on the master: srverva+pawtest2/3@gmail.com (harmless — clones don't

inherit rows or users). Delete from Base44 users list if she wants it pristine.

Known / by-design

• Reminder emails depend on Base44 cron (deployed; not yet observed firing — first run 8am).

In-app due states are the source of truth regardless.

• Landing pricing ($0/$29) + support email + legal dates are PLACEHOLDERS members fill

(that's the DFY design; checklist enforces it).
