Session Handoff — PawKeeper (Pet Health Tracker DFY): built, research-refined, and restyled premium

Where it started

Sondra asked for a DFY Pet Health Tracker app for her Stars/Vibe Code Society members to clone-and-sell (same play as LinkHub/ShortLinks DFY), starting from a PRD. Over the session it grew into: build the app in Base44, deep-research real pet-owner complaints to refine it, then apply a premium emerald "Apple Health meets vet portal" visual style (from two references she loved: Premier Vet Alliance + vetrecord.app) to the actual live app.

Decisions locked + what shipped

• App built + live — Base44 app "PawKeeper", id 6a49aa9f3b13507a46060175, live at https://paw-keeper-46060175.base44.app. All 10 features working (pet profiles, vaccine tracking+reminders, appts, meds w/ frequency presets + "mark given" dose log, weight chart, symptom log, document storage, multi-pet, emergency card w/ QR, vet share links) + landing page + per-account demo pets.
• 9 entities, all owner-only RLS (created_by == {{user.email}}); 2 backend functions: share-resolve (only public read path, token-gated, verified no cross-account leak) + reminder-digest (daily 8am cron, guarded so only cron triggers it).
• Research-driven design = subtraction not features — deep research (Perplexity + subagent) on real pet-owner complaints. Led on "you own your records across every vet", vaccine-card photo capture in the add-flow, name+species-only signup, reminders name the pet. Deliberately did NOT add daily wellness logging (poop/mood/food) — kept lean. Synthesis in research-notes.md.
• Passed /app-safety-check — fixed 3 findings (2 fetch error-states preventing infinite spinners + digest-function guard); ErrorBoundary + per-account demo-seed key fixed earlier.
• Premium emerald restyle applied to the WHOLE live app (this session's second half) — emerald palette (#0C8A76 family) replacing flat teal, warm ivory/stone neutrals (slate→stone sweep across 16 files), rebuilt Landing.jsx with the animated phone hero cycling real app screens + AI-generated premium hero photo. Concept was pre-approved by Sondra ("this is perfect, apply this whole style").
• Two real bugs caught during restyle verification — (1) scroll-reveal too fragile (1/10 blocks showed) → made bulletproof with .pk-js gate + safety timeout; (2) every primary button rendering near-black not emerald (Tailwind class-order fight) → fixed by making brand the Button default variant. Both re-verified fixed live.

• Playwright MCP browser was repeatedly flaky (stale-profile lock). Verification — how to confirm things still work

• Log in srverva+pawtest2@gmail.com / PawTest!2026b (account "A", has Bella+Milo demo data) → dashboard renders emerald w/ semantic pills. (+pawtest3 = account "B", cleared/empty.)
• cd "PROJECTS/Pet Health Tracker DFY/app" && npm run build — compiles clean.
• Deploy after changes: npx base44 site deploy -y (site only) or npx base44 deploy -y (entities+functions+site).
• Isolation still holds: logged-in as B, navigating to A's pet id returns clean "Pet not found" (RLS 404), no data leak.

Deferred + open questions

• Open (Sondra's calls, unresolved): (1) final app name — "PawKeeper" is a working title; (2) how members claim clones — Base44 duplicate vs shared template link; (3) free Stars perk vs paid "DFY app library" tier; (4) at launch she wants Skool setup-page copy walking members through first-time clone setup (noted in PRD §15).
• Deferred: hero headline copy now lives in Landing.jsx (not branding.js) because of the two-line accent structure — flagged to Sondra; offered to wire it back for true one-file rebrand, no answer yet.
• Deferred: branding.js still has default placeholders (you@example.com, "Your Company Name") — intended, members fill via checklist.
• Deferred: test users srverva+pawtest2/3@gmail.com still on the master (harmless — clones don't inherit users/rows); deletable from Base44 dashboard if she wants it pristine.
• Deferred (from earlier): sapphire palette alternative — Sondra chose emerald; sapphire is a one-variable swap if ever wanted.
• Open (my last question, unanswered): apply the same premium hero/phone pattern to her other DFY apps, or stop here?
