Handoff — Why Dachshunds website: AUDIT with premium-web-design skill (2026-07-10)

The task for the fresh session

Audit the existing Why Dachshunds website using the new premium-web-design skill in AUDIT mode (Mode B). Sondra does NOT want a rebuild — the site + copy were built by an expensive designer via BraveBrand (front + back end) and the ICA copy came from his BraveBrand intelligence app. So: read it, score it against premium standards, surface AI-slop/cheap tells, and hand back prioritized suggestions — do NOT change anything or rewrite her ICA copy without her go.

How to run it (fresh session)

1. cd into the site and read the code:

2. Invoke the premium-web-design skill → Mode B (AUDIT). It will: read the code, screenshot the

live page desktop + mobile (Playwright), and score against the 7 Laws + do's + the AI-Slop Checklist.

4. Deliver a readable report (offer HTML on the CEO Dashboard): verdict + score per area, what's

already premium (name it first), slop/cheap tells (tell → where → fix), and 🔴 must-fix / 🟡 should-fix / 🟢 polish tied to a Law or DO. Then offer to apply 🔴 fixes one surgical change at a time → re-audit.

The funnel context (this is the site's ONE JOB — Law 1)

Sondra is NOT launching her community yet — the website + blog + lead magnet must work first. The goal:

• YouTube channel (starting, wants to monetize) → drives viewers to the site.
• Blog (SEO) → people searching find it organically.
• Both paths → capture the EMAIL via a free lead magnet (the site's one job).
• Visitors should also see the YouTube videos (feeds channel monetization).
• Later, with those emails: affiliate products, courses, community.

So audit the page for: (a) does it serve email capture clearly, (b) does it route to YouTube + blog, (c) does the lead-magnet CTA land. Score conversion, not just aesthetics.

• Stack: Next.js "Digital Home" shell. Blog pipeline is ALIVE (auto-writes content; the "Invalid

API key" bug was fixed 2026-07-05 — was a stale env: block in whydachshunds-backend/next.config.ts).

What we did THIS session (context)

Loaded a website-design skill stack and built her major design skill:

• Installed (all vetted 🟢): shadcn, the GSAP official 8-skill suite, MagicUI, refreshed

ui-ux-pro-max, and 5 style skills (design-premium/editorial/bento/glassmorphism/storytelling).

• Built premium-web-design (~/.claude/skills/premium-web-design/) — mined from her "Premium

Website Library" NotebookLM. It now has two modes: DESIGN (asks an intake, then builds) and AUDIT (reads + scores + suggests, no edits). References: ai-slop-checklist.md, source-quotes.md.

Watch-outs

• Pre-flight confirmed there is exactly ONE Dachshunds website (this one) — do not scaffold a new one.
• Respect the BraveBrand copy/design investment — audit + suggest, don't rip and replace.
