Your list → what happened

• The nav-click bug — found and fixed. Root cause: the exit-intent popup fired the instant your mouse reached the top of the screen toward the nav, and its full-screen backdrop ate the click. I gated it so it only fires once you've scrolled into the page (never when reaching for the nav) and bumped its timer 25s→45s. Verified: "popup suppressed at top (nav-safe): ok." The nav works now.
• Real channel wired — every Watch/Subscribe now points at youtube.com/@WhyDachshunds?sub_confirmation=1 (one-click subscribe).
• Marquee gap — gone; the quirks scroll evenly now.
• "Follow the doxies" — moved under the footer nav links, centered in that space.
• Hero dogs — pulled up in line with "Ever wonder."
• More paws — a bigger cluster now hugging the trailer video, left and right.
• Newsletter (Subscribe to The Doxie Diaries) — now on every page (added globally, once).
• Decoder page rebuilt:
• The cut-off "?" on "vet visit?" is fixed.
• The sentence block is now the home-style paw-bullets + the traffic-light chips you love.
• The boring form is now an image + form card like the newsletter — with a brand-new photo of both dogs waiting on the sofa and paws scattered all over it.

Where it started

Inbound handoff: the "Golden Hour" wow-rebuild of the Why Dachshunds site (Digital Home / Luke's shared upstream — LOCAL ONLY, never push) was shipped and awaiting her verdict. She came back with three large voice-dictated feedback rounds. All were executed surgically, copy stays hers, local commits only.

Decisions locked + what shipped

• Commit 16fd315 (round 2): bolder paw prints (globals.css paw-glow 0.45→0.95 + stronger tan tones + drop-shadow); free-guide Decoder section moved UP right after the trailer (roast band, both-dogs curious photo, paw-bullets, traffic-light chips); hero dogs shrunk off the word "why"; two-dog circular favicon (src/app/icon.png from marley-mia-560.webp); ?sub_confirmation=1 on all YT links; footer social icons (real brand SVGs in public/brand/social/); newsletter renamed The Doxie Diaries + shown; blog renamed "The Journal"→The Doxie Diaries + cutoff fixed; marquee ribbon (scrolling quirks) + border-beam (CSS-only, magicui patterns) added.
• Commit 1adb24b (round 3): nav-click bug fixed — DecoderPopup.tsx exit-intent now gated on window.scrollY > 500 (EXIT_MIN_SCROLL) + timer 25s→45s, so reaching for the top nav no longer opens the popup that was eating clicks; real channel @WhyDachshunds (page.tsx + Footer.tsx constants); marquee gap fixed (removed min-width:100% on .marquee__track); footer "Follow the doxies" + social chips moved under the nav links, centered; hero dogs top-aligned (items-start, removed lg:mt-28); more paws hugging the trailer (TRAILER_PAWS rebuilt, 12 entries); newsletter made site-wide (added <NewsletterSignup/> globally in layout.tsx above Footer; removed the two instances from blog page); decoder page rebuilt — fixed cut-off "?", home-style paw-bullets + traffic-light chips, opt-in form redesigned as an image+form card with a new two-dog photo + scattered paws.
• New Gemini images (Nano Banana Pro on her GEMINI_API_KEY, character-locked to her portraits): decoder-duo-curious.webp (both dogs, curious, backlit — home free-guide) and decoder-duo-mail.webp (both dogs on a sofa, eager — decoder form card). Both in public/brand/scenes/. Generator scenes added to asset-gen/generate_scenes.py.

Deferred + open questions

• Open (Sondra): Instagram / TikTok / Facebook handles — the 3 footer icons render but are non-clickable ("coming soon") until she sends URLs; YouTube is live. One-line fill in Footer.tsx SOCIALS.
• Open (Sondra): keep/edit/kill the script accents — "straight from the doxie desk", "the drama is free", "sent straight to your phone" — and the newsletter tagline; all one-line changes.
• Note: the decoder page now shows TWO opt-ins (the Decoder guide card + the global Doxie Diaries newsletter below it) — intended (she asked for newsletter on every page); flag if it feels heavy.
• Cosmetic: a "500 on load" beacon appears in console (some analytics/visitor API in dev) — pages all return 200, nav works; not chased. Worth a look before launch.
• Launch gates unchanged: test blog article → draft, wire the Decoder delivery email, /app-safety-check, THEN attach whydachshunds.com. No GoHighLevel.
• Untouched prior-session dirty files in the frontend repo (package.json, package-lock.json, tsconfig.json, wrangler.jsonc, src/app/api/leads/route.ts, public/brand/characters/, etc.) — left uncommitted on purpose.
